It’s about that time to get your best green outfit ready because St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner.

The annually celebrated event is a unique gathering of people from all over, and the best part is that it’s not just one day but extends over an entire weekend’s worth of festivities. Get ready to jump in that proverbial pot of gold and wish people a “top o’ the mornin’” because Detroit and Royal Oak have you covered in all areas — and so does Park Rite with our advantageous parking options.

In Detroit, the shenanigans commence March 14 with a massive day party at Beacon Park that begins at 1 p.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. The event, perfect for people of all ages, will offer attendees a bit of everything. The area will be transformed into an Irish pub, complete with live entertainment, lawn games and free activities for the kids. Adults will be able to indulge a variety of alcoholic beverages on hand, including Irish beer and cocktails, as well as domestic craft and domestic beers. Food will be on hand for all.

Not to be outdone, Royal Oak’s 2020 St. Patrick’s Day parade will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Groups and floats will convene at Royal Oak Middle School, on Washington Avenue, wth the festivities starting at 10 a.m. The parade route will proceed down Washington towards Seventh Street, and then move west towards the St. Mary’s Parish parking lot.

On March 15, the annual Detroit St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place in Corktown. If you’re interested in attending that, you can park at one of our secure locations on the other side of town and take a shuttle or cab over to the parade.

But the biggest party is on March 17. The city of Detroit turns green as it always does, with fun events around each and every corner. The Old Shillelagh is a premiere destination in Greektown, offering multiple levels of fun and entertainment to a boisterous crowd — and even an outdoor lot where the party doesn’t stop.  Other local bars that do it right include Grand Trunk Pub, Nancy Whiskey Pub, Woodbridge Pub and McShane’s.

Since the event is raucous, we encourage all of our customers to use our services to prevent drinking and driving. Make the adventures safe and easy by trusting a designated driver. In the end, safety matters more than anything else.
